The heaviest snake on record is an Anaconda (Eunectes murinus) that was shot in Brazil in 1960. She was never officially weighed but scientist estimate that her 27 feet 9 inch length and her 44 inch girth must have put her over 500lbs!

Sheboygan Herpetological Society History
Sheboygan Herpetological Society was founded in May of 2002 by Robert and Beth Hall. We got into the reptile hobby when I bought my wife her very first Green Iguana hatchling from Pet Supply Outlet. I built it a custom enclosure and we watched it for days on end with excitement. About a month later we received our first Bearded Dragon from a very nice couple in Kiel, Wisconsin. In the beginning of 2002 I talked it over with my wife about how beneficial a group of reptile enthusiasts would be to our community, so we went through some brain storming and made the decision to dive right in head first. We did a handful of Educational seminars and WoW, the interest blew right up about reptile ownership. In 2003, I was able to finally publicize a website and get a real nice forums going. It took about a full year before our website became known and now people from all around Wisconsin visit and leave quite content. There has been allot of rough times that would of brought down the Sheboygan Herpetological Society, but I created this as a dream and it has never let me down. Sheboygan Herpetological Society is always looking for enthusiasts to join the team and to be honest I would like to learn different things from other people and what works for them. We are a LOCAL group of enthusiasts and have no interest in becoming "Nationally renowned". Sheboygan, Wisconsin has welcomed us with opened arms and do our best to help out the LOCAL people. That is why we are the "Sheboygan Herpetological Society".
In 2006 I started breeding Boa Constrictors and found I was pretty good at doing it so I created a company called "R&B Boas" which obviously stands for Rob and Beth's Boas. With the collection ever growing me and my wife decided to stick with Boa and Monitor Species and been real happy with what we do.
With the 2008 season at its end we are looking to make the 2009-2010 seasons more educational, not only on the general public but also ours. Sheboygan Herpetological Society would like to hear from you so if you have any comments please visit our forums (By clicking on the "Forums" button on the left or E-Mailing: robandbeth@sheboyganherpsociety.com
